Recently, Mashable posted an article about how sitting down all day will kill you. Even with this knowledge, most of us aren’t taking the correct steps to changing our office set-up. A sedentary lifestyle means bad posture and other health problems. Whether you work at home or in a corporate setting, it is important to make the change to smarter seating.
One alternative is the one shown above, a kneeling chair. They are said to improve your sitting by keeping you active; your abdominal muscles are getting a constant workout. If you had this, maybe you wouldn’t feel so guilty about having that breakfast burrito.
Via Mashable:
A backless “saddle stool” stops you slumping back in your chair, lowers your thighs, opens up your hips and gently puts your spine into a “healthy lordotic curve”.
Sounds sexy to me.

A “standing stool” is another active seating option. This stool keeps you moving and by doing so, you improve circulation.

Chairs like these will save you money on gym fees. Personally, I would much rather just sit directly onto a balance ball than a balance ball CHAIR. However, this balance ball can be removed for in-office workouts.

By “actively sitting” on The Swooper, it works you out by moving you in different directions-sideways and slantways and front ways and squareways…you get the picture.
